Before design, I worked in television, brand marketing and media buying. Each showed me people from a different angle, and each taught me that once you understand them, you stand a better chance of getting their attention, earning their trust and meeting their needs.

I studied Mass Communication at the University of Lagos, majoring in Public Relations and Advertising. I started designing in 2018, although for years, design was just one of several things I did.

I worked in a TV station’s control room. Led brand and marketing for companies. Did a bit of Ad management and media buying, something I still do for my own projects. I designed identities, then websites, then products.

I learn fast, and I hold everything I pick up to the same standard. I love design. I want every screen I ship to be the best it can be, and I keep working on it until it is.

Today, my work has been used or seen by over 5 million people around the world. My goal is to reach 100 times more people.

AfriexLead Product Designer, 2025 – PresentProduct Designer and Brand Manager, 2024 – 2025
Afriex helps people and businesses move money across borders. I design the app and Afriex Business, the dashboard companies use.
- Promoted to Lead Product Designer after a year.
- Built the design system the app and the dashboard share.
- Redesigned the Afriex and Afriex Business websites.
Ripe CreativesDesign Lead and Art Director, 2024
I led a remote team of brand and motion designers, working across five or more major brands at a time.
- Raised project completion rates by 20% by agreeing clear goals, KPIs and deliverables with clients.
- Cut the team’s turnaround time by about 30% with documentation and repeatable processes.
SpowseHead of Brand, 2023Design Lead, 2022 – 2023
A dating app for Black people.
- Set the brand strategy that positioned Spowse as modern and inclusive. Engagement and brand recognition grew 500%.
- Built the content strategy across every channel.
- Promoted from Design Lead to Head of Brand within five months.
CloudaxLead Brand Designer, Contract, 2022 – 2023
A crypto app. I joined on contract to build the brand.
- Built the identity, from the logo, colour and type to the design system.
- Drew a library of custom icons and illustrations that made crypto features easier to understand.
- Wrote the brand guidelines and worked with marketing, product and engineering to apply them.
African Women in MediaGeneralist Designer, 2020 – 2022
AWiM runs yearly conferences with the African Union. I designed for the events and the brand.
- Designed the conference visuals. Sign-ups grew over 300%.
- Grew the social following by over 100% and engagement by over 40%.
- Designed certificates, stationery and merchandise for guests from over 10 countries.
News Central TelevisionGraphic Design Intern, 2019 – 2020
A TV station in Lagos, Nigeria.
- Designed social content that grew organic reach by 25% in four months.
- Made motion graphics for new and existing programmes with the senior designers.
- Ran the graphics play-out system in the control room.
