Things I’m building on the side.
Shrink my day
A calm to-do list for ADHD brains. Put it all down, pick one thing and start with a tiny step.
Most to-do apps show you everything at once. For a busy brain, a long list feels like a wall. Shrink my day shows you one thing and the first small step, so starting feels easy.
What ADHD users need
Before designing anything, I read reviews and Reddit threads on Habitica, Todoist, Finch, Goblin Tools, Tiimo and others. People with ADHD quit these apps the day the app makes them feel behind. Four rules came out of it.
Broken streaks are the top reason people quit. There are no streaks here.
A pile of overdue tasks causes anxiety. You see one thing, with no overdue labels.
Required fields drive people away. You put everything down and the app sorts it.
Any step can shrink until it feels easy. A gentle timer keeps you company.
Testing it
Before launch I ran five simulated first-time users through the app in a real browser, each with a different way of breaking it.
The fixes changed the words, the layout on small phones and how fast the first screen loads.
What’s in it
Tick a task on your phone and it’s done on your laptop too. Link them with a code.
Save an idea and let it go. It comes back in a few days.
Your phone rings when it’s time, even with the app closed.
Everything saves on your device.
No account and no tracking. Synced tasks are locked before they leave your device.
No plans, no paywall and no trial that runs out.
