Overview

Afriex Business is where companies hold money in more than one currency, pay people in other countries and collect payments from their own customers. I designed the dashboard end to end.

I’m sharing four select flows here. They are bulk payouts, withdrawals, the checkout link creator and checkout. The rest of the work stays confidential.

Bulk payouts

Businesses use bulk payouts for salaries and vendor runs, often hundreds of people at once. They upload a CSV, and the dashboard checks every row before any money moves. When a name doesn’t match the bank’s record, the row is flagged and can be fixed in place without starting over.

Approving a batch is one modal with the total and the number of people being paid. While it runs, each payment updates on the batch page, and failed payments can be retried from the same page.

Withdrawals

Withdrawing from the payout wallet works like a transfer. You type an amount, and the rate, the fee and what arrives on the other side update as you type.

You can pick a saved account, add a new bank account or send to a crypto wallet. New bank accounts are checked against the account name before anything is sent. Once it goes through, the transaction opens in a drawer that tracks each step as it happens.

Checkout link creator

The checkout link creator is the merchant side of checkout. It lets a business get paid without building its own checkout page. A link can be single-use, for an invoice, or reusable, for a product or a donation page. The merchant sets the amount and the expiry date, then shares it as a link or a QR code.

Checkout

On the customer’s side, the checkout shows who they’re paying and how much at the top. They can pay by card, transfer, mobile money or bank. A card payment goes through the PIN and a one-time code, then a receipt with a reference, and the customer is sent back to the merchant’s site.

More of the dashboard

The rest covers onboarding and business verification, deposits, customers and cards, the marketplace, transactions, settings and the developer area.
